Bambara Restaurant at Hotel Monaco
Of course such a hip swanky hotel has a stylish restaurant. Why have I not been here before? I guess my best explanation is that there’s is such a growing amount of fine dining restaurants in Salt Lake that its hard to keep up, especially if you’re on a budget, which I am.
Bambara is a perfect balance of modernity and comfort. You’ll sit back in houndstooth, high-back booths and enjoy the familiar foods of grilled cheese or sliders all with a twist of lavishness. This isn’t your mom’s grilled cheese and those aren’t your average booths. Vogue can almost be tasted in the food, it surrounds you so much.
When we visited recently a friendly little goldfish joined us on our table. Not for eating of course! We had excellent service and enjoyed every bite. From the blue cheese on the chips to the lunch shaved fuji apple in my grilled cheese, details were not neglected.
We were celebrating a birthday with a group of gals we like to call “Ladies Who Lunch” and so we couldn’t leave without some of their specialty Creme Brulee. They make the custard in several varieties. I tried the cinnamon chocolate and it was truly divine, smooth and creamy with a perfect touch of spice.
As we left I couldn’t help but think how fun it would be to come stay a night here and have a special dinner with Josh. And we could even bring Henry! Yes, Hotel Monaco allows dogs, isn’t that incredible for such a nice hotel?!
Bambara with Hotel Monaco is definitely a place that I’m excited and proud to have in our city.

My husband and I were married at Hotel Monaco and stay there every year, for our anniversary. We eat a special meal at Bambara every time! It is delicious and gorgeous and I am in love with the remodel. You and Josh would very much enjoy a night there! My wedding was so special! This lunch was the most fun Ladies Who Lunch we have had and I am glad you could make it
