Get Ready for 2012 Winter Fun – Utah Ski Resorts Opening Dates

7 November 2011 By: Casey No Comment | Life in the Valley, News & Events

It seems like overnight we’ve gone from Fall to Winter! The Wasatch Range is getting blanketed with a little more snow every day and I am starting to smell the wonderful aroma of ski wax mixed with chimney smoke. This winter is gonna kick ass, I can feel it! I’m already drooling with anticipation. 3 foot blue bird days with face shots a-plenty, pitchers overflowing with pale ale, overwhelming loads of nachos shared with your best friends laughing their butts off about how epic the day was …. *sigh* Whose else is ready to dust off their gear and shred some Utah pow?

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got you go-pro, you’ve got your new puffy and fattest widest boards, and you are all dressed and clicked in to your gear sittin’ on your couch sweating to death because it’s 80′s in house. You’ve already burnt holes through Art of Flight and La Nina, you’ve busted through the 30 pack of PBR, and you just want to know WHEN THE HELL ARE THE MOUNTAINS GONNA OPEN !?!?

Okay okay okay, relax … without further ado, here are the targeted opening dates for all 14 ski areas in Utah.

Alta – November 18th

Beaver Mountain – Dec. (TBA)

Brian Bead – November 19th

Brighton – November 10th (no joke – in 6 days you can be shredding at Brighton!)

The Canyons – November 25th

Deer Valley – December 3rd

Eagle Point – Dec. (TBA)

Park City Mountain Resort – November 19th

Powder Mountain – November 24th

Snowbasin – November 24th

If you haven’t gotten your act together yet (I haven’t either, so don’t feel bad!) and you still need to get a pass, check out SkiUtah.com for all your Utah report needs. They’ve got the goods on pass info, special pass giveaways, and student ski passports! Need some more local stoke – check out the Ski Utah Blog.

See ya on the slopes!
